Critical Supplies Are Needed
As non-profit organization refocus financial resources towards crucial services such as housing and food during the Covid-19 pandemic, they are also experiencing increased demands for basic, yet critical supplies: towels, blankets, sheets, clothing, footwear, cooking items, and pet products. The U.S. healthcare system is being heavily taxed by the influx of patients and there is not enough personal protective equipment to keep all nurses and doctors safe and healthy. Healthcare workers in many parts of the nation are being forced to reuse disposable PPE for days due to extreme shortages. Shelters are scrambling to find foster homes and supplies for all the homeless pets before it is too late. Homeless pets are now at risk of euthanasia because they have no place to go.
